The rational mind has a funny way of labeling everything. It is the originator of the term “bias” but represents its main embodiment. To value your possessions is “an endowment effect bias”, to battle giving up something is a “loss aversion bias”. Similarly resisting change is a “status quo bias”. There is no limit to the mind attempting to assert itself by the triple naive, yet subtle processes of objectivizing, labeling and then exposing.
